A Multistructure Multimode Three-Phase Dual-Active-Bridge Converter Targeting Wide-Range High-Efficiency Performance

A three-phase dual-active-bridge (3p-DAB) converter is an attractive topology for bidirectional power conversion in high-power applications. However, conduction and switching losses are two main loss mechanisms that severely affect its efficiency performance, adoption of any single modulation scheme or cannot minimize these over a wide operating range. For this purpose, reconfigurable the 3p-DAB proposed article utilizes tunable resonant network to offer multiple degrees freedom minimizing range conditions. The designed such 40-100% rated output power, it operates as immittance with controlled by varying frequency tuning track frequency. Below 40% transforms series-resonant impedance while keeping phase shift constant. combination both operation modes jointly leads wide-range zero circulating current soft all switches and, hence, high-efficiency validated experimental results.
